Description

Paralegals working in a tort litigation practice may be asked to help draft an office memo or a complaint. To perform this work, you will need to be able to analyze a client’s case for possible causes of action. For this assignment, you will use a column technique to analyze a scenario and determine if a cause of action exists.

Scenario

Google Inc. sent photographers across the United States to photograph streets, homes and buildings for its panoramic “Street View” feature of Google Maps. One morning, Gene, a photographer who was taking pictures for Google, pulled his car into a driveway belonging to Aaron and Christine Boring. The long driveway was marked “No Trespassing.” Gene used a panoramic camera to photograph the street and surrounding area. Later Google published images of the area, including pictures of Aaron and Christine’s home and swimming pool. Aaron and Christine sued Google for privacy, trespassing, negligence, and unjust enrichment.
